July 6th Game

Hi everyone,

Unless I've misunderstood things (which I do often ;)), Rob won't be able to make it to the July 6th game unfortunately. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Rob.

In that case I've been talking to Michelle about what we can do. Don't forget that Russ is also out for a while longer.

So I think we have two choices: one, play boardgames again; or two, someone could run a one-shot role-playing session. (And by someone, I think Michelle means me. :))

Obviously boardgames are easier, and require no set-up or prep. But maybe people would prefer to role-play instead? If so, then I think it might be fun to try something new, one of the other RPGs we've talked about. The downside here is that character creation could take time (but we could get around that with pregens, although some people don't like those). And it's another system to learn, which considering most of us are still learning the details of Pathfinder and have just had to figure out Nobilis, might be too much. But at the same time it's an opportunity to try a new system and decide if we all like it or not.

Sorry, I'm rambling. Anyway, I just wanted to see what everyone else was thinking.

I'm good with whatever.  I just enjoy getting together and playing games.

I'm for the easy route and it would be a good opportunity to play munchkin.  I've been wanting to play that.

I went out and bought munchkin to learn the game - so that I can be ready when we decide to play it.  It looks fun.

Board/card games it will be then. And Munchkin's first on the list. Although now you own a copy Jessi, we'll be expecting you to teach us the rules. wink I'm trying to encourage Michelle to bring Gloom too, that's a fun card game that can get really silly.
