| So, I'm thinking of running a play by post for anyone who is interested. For those of you who are unfamiliar, PbP tends to be a much slower method of roleplaying, that focuses a bit more on socializing and plotting than it does on combat, simply because dice rolling is a little more annoying than it is at the table. I figured I would post a quick blurb about what I might be up for running, and if people are interested, and we can narrow down the list to a single thing, we can have a PbP game on the forums to occupy us between games at Atomic.
Here are the ideas
The Return of the Gods (Fantasy)
The Gods have returned. They had been gone so long that everyone had thought them myth. This has toppled the carefully balanced politics of the region. The southern kingdoms are falling into chaos as secret cults are granted powers, and bloody gods drive men mad. As a group of trusted citizens in the last remaining stable nation in the south, you must find a way to keep the region from collapsing into fire, war, and death.
Blood For Money (Cyberpunk)
Sometimes you just have to take that extra step to make rent. In a world where everything is wired and technology runs so wild it can seem to be all but magic, sometimes a personal touch by someone crafty, or ruthless, enough to break the rules. Whether you are in it to make a difference or in it to make a quick buck, your little group of friends is going to have to step lively to keep ahead of the law, the bills, and the other ruthless bastards in the business.
A Dance Among the Stars (Space Opera)
The Teraport War ended when all of the warships vanished. Probably for the best, since they were all just lobbing nukes at each other anyway. Besides, this means that a privately owned vessel such as your has a bevy of amazing opportunities! Make some money! Support a Cause! Join a military for some quick and easy promotions! The galaxy is your extremely volatile oyster!
Of Stories and Themes (Mythic Fantasy)
When the Nobilis trod the world, reality quakes. Born of Weaver, lord of tales, the Nobilis of Chancel Libram are tasked with guarding the written words of the world from those who would unravel and erase it. You are those Nobles.
A Modern Mythology (Superhero)
Tasked with protecting the city from the super-villain menaces that plague any large metropolis, the men and women of first precinct have a tough and dirty job. Fortunately, they have superpowers of their own to help them do it.
Return of the Gods will be a pathfinder game, Stories and Themes will be Nobilis. The other three will all be from a homebrew system. Personally, I'd prefer to run either Return of the Gods or Modern Mythology the most, with a slight edge towards Modern Mythology, but If anything really strikes a chord, let me know. I'd be happy do run any of them.
Thoughts?

| Alrighty, we've got one vote for the space opera. Any other opinions? Anyone else interested in giving it a go?

| You seemed most interested yesterday in the space opera, Rob, but here you're sounding more keen on the superhero one. I honestly don't mind which, they all sound good to me. Less fantasy, I guess, what with Pathfinder and 7th Sea, we have been/are playing a lot of fantasy. The superhero one sounds like a mix of Powers and Top Ten, which could be pretty cool so I'll vote for that just to be awkward.
That leaves Michelle and Jessi to make the decision.

| I'd love to give it a try, though I've never played this way before. Here are my top selections in order of preference, but of course I'll play any of them as they all sound good.
1. Superhero 2. Space Opera 3. Cyberpunk

| Oke doke, unless we hear from Jessi and she decides she'd prefer Space Opera, we're gonna go with the Superhero one. I should have a primer about the city you guys will be playing in done by the end of the week. Fabulous New Corinth, a metropolis built in Pamlico Sound, shipping hub of the Atlantic, easy access to the Outer Banks, and the largest city in North Carolina.
