| So I was reading back though a lot of my old stuff, if you can't tell, and I came across some old House Rules. This one was rather nice:
Creating a New Character Mid-Campaign: If someone wants to change their character mid campaign they can, but at minus 1 level from their current character.
Example: If Bob doesn't want to continue playing his 10th level gnome fighter for whatever reason, he can roll up a new character but it would be 9th level. If at a later date Bob decides he'd rather go back to playing his gnome fighter it will have the same level penalty.
Sometimes you get tired of a character or they end up completely different that what you were going for. Especially if you have a good long campaign going, it might be nice to have it spelled out. It would work for a good many of the systems we might play. Just wondering what your thoughts might be.

| Sounds like a good plan.
